Privacy and Data Protection Policy
The mX Benchmark Council respects your personal information and your right to control the use of that information. Personal and other information is only gathered with your consent, and only used for the purpose you have specified.
This policy sets out how we collect, use and safeguard your information.
This policy was first published 14 October 2025. Should we make any changes to this policy, we will indicate the date and nature of the change here: revised on dd mmm yyyy; nature of change.
1. Applicability
Our primary website address is: www.mxcouncil.com.
Among the solutions we provide are a number of hosted solutions which gather and analyse data in order to benchmark policies, practices, platforms or otherwise facilitate the confidential and anonymous sharing of information between users. Each of these solutions will typically be hosted as a sub-domain of mxcouncil.com – eg benchmarks.mxcouncil.com.
This policy applies to all such websites including mxcouncil.com. It does not extend to any other independent websites to which links are provided.
2. Protecting your information
The mX Benchmark Council is committed to protecting the information you provide. We comply with all relevant data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will ensure that appropriate steps are taken to ensure that your information is not lost, stolen or modified without your permission and we will endeavour to keep your personal information accurate.
If you wish to amend an inaccuracy in your personal information, have your information deleted, or have any questions or comments about this policy, please email us at privacy@traqs.com.
3. Personal and other information collected and how we use it
Our websites will only collect information from you when you are specifically asked to provide it. The reason for collecting that information will be made clear to you and, where appropriate, you will be given the opportunity to determine how your information is to be gathered, used and destroyed. We do not automatically capture or store personal information from visitors.
Where a log-in is required in order to access a hosted service, a “cookie”, a small data file, may be created in your browser or on your hard drive. It is used to identify you to our website only (e.g. to make sure that the answers you give in a survey completion session are saved correctly). It contains no personal information.
Where you explicitly provide personal information, such information will be used only for the service you have requested. We will not share your personal information with any other organisation without your permission, nor will we sell, rent or lease your personal data.
Our processing of your data is based on one or more of the following lawful bases under GDPR:
- Consent – when you voluntarily complete a survey.
- Legitimate interest – for maintaining and improving the performance and security of the App.
- Legal obligation – if we are required by law to retain or disclose certain information.
The benchmarks.mxcouncil.com app is built on the bubble.io platform. Your data is securely hosted through Bubble.io’s infrastructure, which employs encryption and industry-standard safeguards. This App uses only essential cookies and technical mechanisms that are automatically provided by Bubble.io and are necessary for the proper functioning and security of the App (for example, to manage sessions or prevent misuse). You can learn more about Bubble’s cookie usage here: https://bubble.io/privacy.
